Meet the Maker

Hello, and welcome to my little shop on the internet!  I'm Marisa, a 30-something Social Worker who's living out her childhood play-dough dreams creating with clay.  I am the owner and primary maker of Nahema Clay Co, and also work full-time in the addiction field.  I have called Halifax, Nova Scotia home for almost ten years, but a true Cape Bretoner at heart.  

When I'm not creating with clay, I love to read, and I'm a huge foodie.  I love to cook and bake, and have never-ending experiences exploring the restaurant/dining culture at home and on my travels.  When I'm not glued to Nahema Clay Co's Instagram, you can find me at @cafeandrose_  where I'm mostly sharing my foodie experiences. 

 

I'm Stephanie, a 30-something finance manager who's obsessed with all things creative.  Thankfully, Marisa needed a creative outlet to live out her childhood play dough dreams, and letting me tag along for the ride.  Being a part of Nahema Clay Co fills the void when not working full-time in the automotive industry and helps me utilize my creative soul.  I have called Halifax, Nova Scotia home for nearly a decade after growing up and spending the first two decades of my life in Cape Breton.  While the “island” will always have a piece of my heart, so does Nahema Clay Co.

I love to find out art methods to express my creative, insist on seeing (almost) every episode of Jeopardy, and travelling.  Painting and random knowledge take up a fair bit of brain space, but its those things that help when it comes to clay.  You can find me at @smlantonello where I will occasionally post what my "free time" has to offer.
